Laminectomy

Spinal narrowing (stenosis) and herniated discs that sit between the bones of the spine can cause significant back and leg pain along with numbness, weakness, and difficulty walking. Our specially trained Neurosurgeons remove the posterior portion of the vertebral column, the lamina, to unroof the spinal canal. This allows the spinal cord and nerves to decompress resulting in improvement of many of the symptoms listed above.
