Intervertebral discs are gelatinous material that sit between the bones of our spinal column. Degeneration, heavy lifting, and trauma are just a few of the reasons discs can slip out of place, or “herniate”. This can cause significant pain, numbness, and weakness in the back and legs. Our specially trained Neurosurgeons use minimally invasive surgical techniques to remove herniated disc fragments and allow our patients to return home and to work sooner than with more invasive procedures.
