Vagal Nerve Stimulator

In patients with severe seizure disorders, our specially trained Neurosurgeons may place a Vagal Nerve Stimulator. The Vagus nerve is located in the neck, and a unique wire is connected to the nerve. This is connected to the control unit of the stimulator which is placed under the skin of the chest. The stimulator may be specially programmed to unique settings that stimulate the Vagus nerve and decrease how frequently seizures occur.
