Aneurysm: Clipping

A minimally invasive cerebral angiogram is performed to study the appearance of the aneurysm.  Based on location, shape, and size of the aneurysm, treatment may need to be performed externally entering the brain through the skull. Our specially trained Comprehensive Vascular Neurosurgeons access the blood vessels around the brain to treat aneurysms by placing a clip on the neck of the aneurysm thereby preventing it from filling with blood. A minimally invasive cerebral angiogram is again performed after the clip is placed on the aneurysm to ensure that blood flow into the aneurysm has completely stopped.
